Just trying to work out what to do with this one lol. Maybe will introduce a softroader section then you can make your own topics in there. Leave it with me.

What a great idea.

A local 4wd club has just started looking into allowing softroaders to join as members.
They recognise that not only are people starting to buy more softroaders because of their fuel efficiency and ability to go offroad more than the average family vehicle, but that softroaders are getting more capable now than the original 4wd subaru which was just a standard wagon with all-wheel drive capability.

One added suggestion I have for the new section is to not restrict the trips section from non-forum members as allowing outsiders with softroaders to see the trips we have done or are planning to do will encourage them to join the forum to tag-along on some trips.

That's the point Todd.
In the main trips thread you can only SEE posts if you are a member, but if non-members could see trips then it might encourage them to join so they can post their intention to join in.

The reason I have it set up this way is that it encourages people to join to see what trips are coming up. If they see whats coming up without joining then they might turn up on a trip and nobody knows anything about them. If they want to see what trips have been on then they can look at the past trips posts. This way they can see if they are suited to these types of trips. They can then register and get in contact with the person putting on the trip to let them know they would like to come along. This will encourage them to join and not just browse as a visitor.
Cheers Admin.
