We are three days into our 8 wekk trip to NT, so far so good. The car and van are going well, the kids aren;t fighting yet, and the wife and I haven't divorced

I'll post more of a trip report and some camping site reviews when I get a chance. We are in Barcardine at the moment, heading to Longreach/Winton for a few days ahead.

Stopped at a great free camp last night just out of Mitchell QLD called Neil Turner Weir. There would have been 20 other vans overnighting in the area but we were able to get well away. Kids did the camp fire and marshmellow bit while stargazing. Work and school are a distant memory for us all.

Hi,
The trip is going really well, two weeks in (6 to go). Have been so many places and taken too many photos to sort through at this time. We took over 200 photos at Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) alone. We have moved on through Katherine and Kakadu areas and have been in Darwin for almost a week now. All going well and everyone enjoying the trip. Can't fault the 30 degree days and low 20's of a night. Here's a couple more pics of the trip.

Oh what wonderful pictures...made me a little home sick...we lived on a cattle station an hour out of Katherine when l was a youngin...brings back memories

That Kakadu area sure is a magical place.
Have always wanted to get there one day.
